" Must Visit " places of every Indian and Foreign tourist. The land
with enchanting Havelis , attractive and hospitable folklore , brightly colored
kalbeliya dancers , the admirable puppeteers and the mouth watering Rajasthani
Cuisine makes it a must visit.
We have fallen in love with the
state and its charms over the years. The art forms are absolutely one-of
-a-kind. Sanganeri block prints are my personal favorite. A highly labour
intensive art where a hand block is used to create a beautiful pattern on the
cloth. The balance and accuracy needed to maintain uniformity is absolutely stunning.
The end result is absolutely gorgeous.
Bandhani and Leheriya art are
used widely in sarees and dupattas which are vibrant and multicolored. Bandhani
uses tiny grams and variety of threads to tie the cloth at various pieces. It
is then dyed in beautiful colors. Leheriya produces a wavy pattern which
intends to give a look of cascading waterfall. Leheriya is seen at its best on
Teej , a local festival of Rajasthan.
